Ihumatao Writing

This week we have been writing about whats happening in Ihumatao. We are writing about if we are with or against.

Are you against the development? Wanting people to feel how it is to have a home? Well if so, you should be with the development to help the homeless. This is why I support the development out at Mangere

I strongly believe that we need more houses in Auckland. Do you ever see homeless people on the side of the road needing food? Do you have a small house but have a big family? Well that’s another reason why I am not against the development.

In my opinion I believe the development should go because people might go to hotels because they lost their house for some reason. Did you know that in most hotels you can only live there for 6-12 months? Also, why would you spend your money on an expensive hotel and only live in it for 12 months when instead you can buy a house and live in it for years.

The things I strongly agree that the fletchers foundation owns the land so that they have the legal rights to do whatever they want with the land. If the Maori people who live on the land argue they will get sent straight to jail this is because they don’t own the land. The fletchers foundation are helping people who don’t have houses because they are building brand new ones.

Finally, in conclusion I think that we need more houses for people who need houses more than us because it’s not fair that we live in warm houses and homeless people live on the side of the road.

I really like the way how you added lots of rhetorical questions. I also really liked the way how you were writing in like a persuasive way, and like how you really meant what you were saying like how you think we need more houses in new zealand and stuff like that. I think you need to work on making the writing stay in the page so you can actually read it and make it more colourful to make it more interesting to read.
    Thanks!!! Blog Ya Later :)
