What happened in the 2020 NZ Elections

General statement/Conclusion:

On Saturday night, 17th of October was the day of the general election. Labour had won the election with a vote of 49.1%, followed by the National party with 26.8% of votes.

Description (1) :

Jacinda Ardern's party labour had won the general election that had happened a few days ago. Over 2 million people had voted for the general election and the labour party had got 49.1% of those votes, Jacnida ardern has said “ never take your supporters for granted “ as she is now prime minister till the next election in 3 years. In 3 years there will be another general election that will happen and everyone 18 and older will be able to take part in voting for a party. There were 6 parties that had got seats in parliament, National, Labour, Act, Greens and the Maori party.

Description (2) :

The parties that didn't get at least 5% of the parties vote, New Zealand first party, New Conservative, TOP, Advance NZ, Aotearoa Legalise Cannabis Party, ONE party, Vision NZ, NZ Outdoors Party, TEA party, Sustainable NZ Party, Social Credit, Heartland NZ. Also during school we had a kids vote for all the students to participate in so we can see who would win in our school, labour ended up taking the win. 

Description (3) :

Soon enough there will be a vote for legalising cannabis and an end of life referendum, the end of life referendum will be for people to be able to end their lives if they had chosen to. Cannabis weed might be legalised depending on the votes that will be announced in a couple weeks. Hopefully cannabis will be legalised for the ones in need as it does help people who are affected with lung cancer, if it is legalised I think it should only be used for health issues. End of life referendum, this is for ones who may want to end their lives early or for any other reasons.

Evaluation:

In my opinion I think that the Labour party deserved to win as I find Jacinda Ardern a good prime minister, in 3 years time there will be another general election to vote again for 18 years old or older.

Covid 19 Lockdown

My Experience In Lockdown

A few days ago we were in lock down due to COVID 19 Corona Virus was spreading to loads of people in New Zealand!! My lock down was very boring because all I did was chores, eat, sleep, and watch Netflix and movies. In my Corona bubble was, me, my 2 older sisters and my mum. My experience in lock down was actually fun because it was like a long holiday without malls and going to the park. The sad thing was we couldn't leave the house to see family and friends.



In lock down I still had to finish work because we couldn't go to school either. Whenever I finished my school work I watched a few movies and Netflix series. While in lock down we had my sisters brithday and she turned 14.
